From the moment the group arrived the atmosphere was electric. After the greetings by the principal Rabbi Shimone Yidgar and the school Choir and dance group. The group went to work.
All of the children participating in the after school program had a chance to create a Teddy Bear with members of the mission. From that moment on, until the end of the afternoon, many would not leave go of their new friends.
The next part of the afternoon was dedicated to helping those less fortunate. The children along with the mission participants packed Shabbat food boxes for families in theneighborhood. While the work was intense most of the children worked with one hand only, not letting go of their new Teddy Bear friends.
After a tearful farewell to their new friends, the members of the mission learned about some of the work of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation in Israel including that of th Ethiopian Initiative in Pardes Channa – Karkur and the Women's Amutot Initiative,
